January is a great time to time to create foundations and plan for the year ahead. What do you want this new year to look like? What do you want to achieve? What fun will you have? What will you read? What will you do to nourish and improve your mind?
To achieve success with your goals starts with writing them down. It’s imperative. Having your goals written down and visible means you can easily review them regularly, track your progress and revise them as needed.
Keep your goals small and realistic. Get specific, get really detailed. Say you want to start a meditation practice. During the first week you might commit to sit quietly for 2 minutes. The following week you might increase the time by another minute, and so on. Creating a measure or time frame can give you tangible results so you can not only track your progress but feel good and celebrate your success along the way.
You may like to use mind maps, simple numbered list or post it notes. Create goals for all aspects of your life. What do you want your health to look like? How much money do you want to earn? What are your career ambitions? What are your spiritual aspirations? How do you want your relationships to grow? What new experiences would you like to have?
Whatever your goals are for 2021, let’s create a year that has meaning. Let’s create a year that is fun. Let’s create a year that is successful. May you prosper and live well.
Choose wisely. Live vibrantly.
